Startup Weekend Plovdiv 2017 was a part of the global Startup Weekend network. The event is a hackathon-style entrepreneurship educational competitive event in which the participants aim to develop a demo within a single weekend. Start It Smart and several partner organizations, including Industry Watch, Toptal, KGK Consult, ebCloud, and LAUNCHub Ventures were all involved.
The event is a massive gathering where smaller companies can meet with established professionals. Business leaders, marketing specialists, and investors can connect with developers and exchange ideas and experience, forging lasting partnerships. Each team had a mentor assigned who led them through the event and helped them polish their ideas.
The Sixth Hammer presented Moo Lander’s first prototype. It was a rough presentation of the idea, even more “alpha” than any “alpha” version ever presented. Yasen Bagalev and Dimitаr Popov had only worked for a month on the game, but they were eager to receive any feedback on the project. The hammers worked tirelessly and with great conviction to forge a presentable demo that could be tested out.
Feedback is of great importance for any project, especially in the early stages. Testing the idea out by an unbiased crowd can help you correct the course before investing too much time in development.
